Your AIGMI Score Is Not a Life Sentence — It's a Starting Line

You took the assessment. Here's exactly what to do with your results — starting tonight.

The Score You Got Is Already Changing

You took the AIGMI assessment. You got a number. Maybe it scared you — a high exposure score that made your stomach drop. Maybe it reassured you — a low score that felt like permission to relax. Either reaction is wrong. Not because the score is inaccurate, but because the score captures one moment in a moving picture.

AI capabilities double every 7 months. Your skills can too. The score you got today is already different from the score you'll get in 90 days — and the direction of that change is entirely up to you.

What Your Score Actually Tells You

Your AIGMI score measures exposure — how much of your current work AI can potentially handle. It does NOT measure:

Your value. A surgeon and an AI researcher might have similar exposure scores but wildly different career trajectories. The score measures task overlap with AI capability, not human worth.

Your destiny. Two people with identical scores can end up in completely different places based on what they do next. One might double down on the 30% of their work AI can't touch and become irreplaceable. The other might ignore the signal and find their role slowly hollowed out.

Your timeline. A high score doesn't mean you'll lose your job tomorrow. A low score doesn't mean you're safe forever. The score is a snapshot. The story is written by your actions.

The most useful way to read your score: it's a prioritization tool. It tells you how urgently you need to act — not whether your career is doomed.

What to Do This Week (Based on Your Score Range)

High exposure (top third): Your urgency is real but so is your opportunity. The tasks AI can handle in your role? Those are the tasks you should be automating RIGHT NOW — not because you're being replaced, but because automating them frees you for work that's AI-resistant. This week: identify the three highest-exposure tasks in your daily work. Start automating one of them. The goal isn't to eliminate your role. It's to evolve it faster than AI can catch up.

Medium exposure (middle third): You have breathing room, but not as much as it feels. The middle is the most dangerous place because it breeds complacency. "I'm not in the danger zone, so I don't need to act yet." Wrong. The middle is where the next 18 months will sort people into two groups: those who used the breathing room to prepare, and those who wasted it. This week: take one task AI can partially handle and learn to do it with AI. Build the muscle now while you're not under pressure.

Low exposure (bottom third): Your work is highly human-dependent — congratulations, that's genuinely valuable. But don't confuse low AI exposure with zero need to evolve. AI is expanding into new domains every month. The tasks that are "safe" today might not be safe in 18 months. This week: learn one AI tool thoroughly. Not because you need to defend your job, but because AI can make your already-valuable human work even more impactful. The teacher who uses AI for admin becomes a better teacher. The therapist who uses AI for note-taking becomes a more present therapist.

The 30-Day Challenge

Regardless of your score:

One AI skill. Pick from Tier 1 (prompting) or Tier 2 (automation) based on your current level. Commit to 5 hours this month. That's one hour per week — less time than you spend scrolling social media.

One human skill. Pick from the EPOCH framework: Empathy, Presence, Opinion, Creativity, or Hope. Choose your lowest self-rating. Do one specific thing this month to strengthen it.

One automation. Your most hated recurring task. Build one automation that handles it. Even a simple one. The act of automating something — anything — shifts your relationship with AI from abstract to practical.

The 90-Day Checkpoint

Retake the AIGMI assessment in 90 days. Not to obsess over the number, but to measure trajectory. Did your score change? In which direction? More importantly: do you feel different about your position? After 90 days of deliberate practice — even just 5 hours per month — you'll have developed capabilities, built automations, and shifted your mindset in ways that the score alone can't capture.

The score measures where you are. Your trajectory measures where you're going. As long as the trajectory is upward, you're winning.

Your Move

Look at your score one more time. Not with fear. Not with relief. With strategy. Your score is the most honest assessment you'll get of where you stand — and honesty is the starting point for every meaningful change. The people who will thrive in the AI age aren't the ones with the best scores. They're the ones who used their scores as fuel to act. Start tonight. Retake in 90 days. See the difference. Repeat.

The score doesn't predict your future. It reveals your starting position. Everything after that is up to you.

Start the 30-day challenge tonight: one AI skill, one human skill, one automation. Retake AIGMI in 90 days. Measure the trajectory.
