Reading Your AIGMI Score: A Complete Guide
You've got a number from 0–100. Here's what it means and what you do with it.
The Score Ranges
0–20 (Limited Exposure)
Your core job tasks are less exposed to AI automation. That doesn't mean you're safe from change—AI will touch your work somehow. But immediate disruption risk is lower. Your priority: build fluency anyway. Skills move up in value when widespread tools exist.
21–40 (Moderate Exposure)
Some of your tasks will be affected. Maybe 20–30% of how you spend time changes over 3–5 years. This is the "adapt or stall" zone. Learning AI isn't urgent. But waiting three years to start? That's urgent. Start now.
41–60 (Significant Exposure)
This is the real inflection point. 40–50% of your task mix will change. Your job won't disappear, but how you do it will transform. You're not in danger of being replaced by a robot. You're in a race against the person who figures out AI-assisted work first. That person gets the raise. You get what's left.
61–80 (High Exposure)
Major parts of your job are in scope for automation. Paralegals, junior analysts, content creators, coders—AI is redefining your entire category right now. The good news: demand for upskilled people in these roles is the highest. You have access to the biggest opportunity. The bad news: the window is open now. Not in three years.
81–100 (Extreme Exposure)
If you're here, AI isn't coming for your job—it's already here. You either adapt now or you're playing a losing game. But here's the flip side: you have the most upside. You're in the hottest skill area. The people who move fast in extreme exposure jobs become the most valuable.
What About Percentile?
Your score comes with a percentile—what percent of workers are more exposed than you. If you're at the 65th percentile, 65% of workers are more exposed. 35% are less exposed. This tells you where you stand in the distribution. If you're high percentile and high score? You're both exposed and in a bigger cohort of exposed people—meaning competition is real.
Confidence Intervals
Your score isn't a crystal ball. It's a model. We show confidence range because these estimates have margin of error. Use your score as a direction indicator, not a prophecy. "I'm somewhere in this range and I should prepare accordingly."
What Your Archetype Means
Your archetype predicts how you'll respond to change. A Detail-oriented Guarded person will research thoroughly before moving. An Action-oriented Creative will experiment fast and adjust. Neither is right or wrong. Knowing your pattern helps you work with yourself instead of against yourself.
Your Action Steps
If 0–20: Start exploring AI casually. Learn what it can do. You have time but not infinite time.
If 21–40: Run the 30-day fluency plan. Pick up actual skills. You're in the sweet spot—enough exposure to care, enough time to learn deliberately.
If 41–60: This year matters. Build fluency. Start applying AI to your actual work. Experiment. The people who start now pull ahead.
If 61–80: Move fast. You're in the hottest skills area. Learn quickly, apply immediately, build portfolio proof. The 56% wage premium awaits.
If 81–100: You don't have a learning problem. You have an execution problem. Stop learning about AI. Start using it. Right now. Every week you wait is money left on the table.
"Your score isn't a ceiling. It's a wake-up call. What you do next is what actually matters."
